Pecan Reverse Trade Mission:
Juri Noguchi, ATO Tokyo's Marketing Assistant, accompanied four Japanese
importers on a reverse trade mission to Georgia and Texas from December
3-9. The mission was led by SUSTA as part of their ongoing efforts to promote
pecans in the Japanese market. The mission included mini trade shows, one-on-one
meetings with U.S. pecan growers, and tours of pecan farms and processing
plants. The Japanese importers were impressed with the U.S. harvest methods
and the taste of fresh pecans. (12/15/06) |
