Japan Proposes GI Protection for Single Malt Welsh Whisky from UK
Japan’s National Tax Agency (NTA) proposed to recognize Single Malt Welsh Whisky as a geographical indication (GI) alcoholic beverage from the United Kingdom (UK). The NTA will accept public comments on the proposal through December 1, 2023.
